The North Carolina Air-Medical Association recently awarded two MTLI scholarships, one for the Undergraduate Program and one for Graduate School.  Meet the worthy recipients below:

Kevin Mumma, BSN, CCRN, CMTE

(Graduate School Scholarship Recipient)

Kevin serves as the Nurse Manager / Program Manager for Duke Life Flight

He has been a dedicated member of the team since 1999 and in his current role for the past seven years.

 

Gina Scharf, MSN, RN, TCRN           

(Year 1 Scholarship Recipient)

Gina Serves as the Manager for Mission Hospitals Air Medical and Medical Communications – MAMA and MedCom.

Gina joined MAMA in 2022 after being promoted from her role as Regional Trauma Clinical Coordinator.

Robyn Wood Nobblitt, BSN, RN, CEN, EMT-P (Graduate School Scholarship recipient)

Robyn joined Duke Life Flight in 1993 and now serves as an Assistant Nurse Manager for the team. Her clinical time is dedicated to the internal code blue response team; however, she also works closely with the Life Flight event medicine team to provide EMS coverage for Duke sporting and University events. She is excited to recertify as a CMTE utilizing the re-entry pathway.

 

Kacee Griffin, BSN, RN, CCRN, CEN, CFRN, NRP (Undergraduate Scholarship recipient)

Kacee joined Atrium’s MedCenter Air as a base lead in 2020 after having worked for Cone Health CareLink as a critical care transport nurse. Kacee is looking forward to attending MTLI year 1 and ultimately earning the CMTE credential.
